Inmate gets $300,000 for lost genitals

Washington state has agreed to pay $300,000 to an ex-prison inmate whose penis was consumed by a flesh-eating bacteria while he was behind bars.
Charlie Manning told The Seattle Times Monday he will have $115,000 left after paying attorney's fees arising from his lawsuit and other bills. He expects to get the money this week.

"It's been a nightmare," Manning said. "I figured I should settle for what I could get because I just want it behind me. It's unreal. It's like something from Mars."

Manning, 61, was serving a 13-month sentence for a drunken fight when he became ill. The prison doctor wrongly diagnosed his symptoms as an allergic reaction to medication. It turned out he had necrotizing fasciitis and the bacteria destroyed his penis and one testicle.

The Department of Corrections said the suit was settled because going to court would have been more expensive.

"While the end result was unfortunate and Mr. Manning's original diagnosis turned out to be inaccurate, this was the result of a misdiagnosis, not the result of poor medical care," officials said in a statement. "Not all medical judgments — whether performed in a prison or at a doctor's office — are infallible."

Guy Ritchie has opted out of wrestling any money from Vadge's cold, dead vagina. Guy could have filled his pockets with up to half of Vadge's $600 million fortune in their divorce settlement, but he's reportedly done the saintly thing and is voluntarily walking away with nothing. The Daily Mail claims that the divorce settlement has been reached and an announcement will be made any day now. When Vadge throws all her millions on the bed and rolls around in it, not one bill will be missing. She gets to keep all her cash. The only thing Guy asked for is joint-custody of his two boys, Rocco and David. A source said that the two boys will split their time between London and New York. Lourdes will stay in New York with her mommy. I hope Guy also demanded his nuts back. He's going to need those in the future.

A source said, "It will be all over by the end of the month. The priority for him has always been the children. Ritchie has not wanted her money. He has done exactly what Billie Piper did when she divorced Chris Evans. She walked away without any of his money, much to her credit. Guy Ritchie has done the same."

Guy Ritchie obviously has a heart made of gold, rainbows and tears of joy from the Live Feed Puppies, because I would have bled that bitch dry! Even if he didn't want any money for himself, he should have taken as much as he could, cashed it out at the bank and then walked the streets, throwing her precious money in the air like a fucking modern-day Robin Hood!

Despite being back in camouflage, George Clooney was still easy to spot on the set of Men Who Stare at Goats in New Mexico yesterday before shooting some hoops. It's the second year in a row that George hasn't won the crown of Sexiest Man Alive, but somehow we doubt that he's complaining after taking it twice in the past and succeeding in the campaign to get Matt Damon his rightful title for 2007. Even without the top honors — and with that mustache —George will always be one of the Hottest Bachelors in Hollywood to us.
