Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez, nursing a sore right knee, has been scratched from the team's starting lineup for Friday's game against the New York Yankees. The left fielder missed Wednesday's game in Seattle, but manager Terry Francona had said earlier that he hoped Ramirez would be able to return for the start of the Yankees series at Fenway Park.
